Meet Sarah Tapper, the newly appointed director of Programs and Exhibitions at the Freeport Art Museum. She was selected following a three-round virtual interview process and is a recent graduate of Western Illinois University's Museum Studies program.

The Western Illinois University School of Computer Sciences is expanding its academic offerings with the launch of a fully online Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, beginning Spring 2026. This new program builds on the School of Computer Sciences longstanding expertise in delivering face-to-face and online instruction.

The Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling graduate programs at Western Illinois University-Quad Cities have received reaffirmation of accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), continuing a longstanding accreditation held since 1987.
