Psychology  (M.S.) 

 

General Experimental Psychology Option

Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to: 

  1. have a broad knowledge of the subfields of experimental psychology
  2. have specialized knowledge of a particular subfield of experimental psychology
  3. possess knowledge of statistical techniques and research methods available for executing and interpreting research results
  4. demonstrate skill in public speaking
  5. demonstrate skill in written expression of ideas
  6. engage in original research

 

Clinical/Community Mental Health Option

Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to: 

  1. gather and integrate clinically relevant information using a variety of sources and procedures including clinical interviews and formal assessment instruments
  2. develop clear, theoretically consistent formulations of client functioning, and deriving and implementing treatment plans based upon these formulations
  3. form an integrated and professional clinical identity
