Maurine Magliocco Obituary

MACOMB, IL - - Former Western Illinois University professor Maurine Magliocco, 81, of Quincy, IL, passed away on July 30.
Magliocco came to WIU in 1967 and served as an English professor and first director of the WIU Women's Center. Magliocco retired from WIU in 2007.
Maurine and her late husband, Hugo, were significant supporters of WIU throughout their careers and lives. Her legacy lives on through the English Department's Maurine Magliocco Lecture Series which was established in 2006.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 14, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Quincy, IL. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, August 13 at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home.
