MACOMB, IL –– Western Illinois University Interim Director of Alumni Relations Drew Donahoo has been named the Council of Administrative Personnel (COAP) Employee of the Month for November.
Donahoo was recognized for his leadership, creativity and dedication in organizing major University events, including the planning and execution of President Mindrup's Inauguration.
"Drew has taken on some big tasks and gatherings with ease, including the master planning of President Mindrup's Inauguration," one nominator said. "He gave the team a clear plan and focus for the event while still making sure every detail fit the President's personality and wishes. I was happy to work with him and look forward to partnering on many events in the future, just not another inauguration!"
"Drew showed exceptional leadership and dedication in planning President Mindrup's inauguration, a historic and highly significant campus and community event honoring the first alumni president at WIU. Drew demonstrated professionalism and creativity, ensuring details reflected both WIU traditions and also celebrated the unique qualities of President Mindrup.
From coordinating logistics to collaborating across departments and the community, Drew's commitment and planning made the inauguration a meaningful tribute to President Mindrup's legacy," another nominator said.
The COAP Employee of the Month award acknowledges exceptional performance by WIU employees who go above and beyond their regular duties.
