WIU School of Music Students Compete at Central Region NATS Conference

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University Voice Students Competed at the Central Region National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Conference.

Students from the voice studios of Melissa Chávez and Nicholas Miguel represented Western Illinois University at the NATS, held this fall.

Participating students included Eden Beier, Josiah Daniels, Evalyn Mateski, Robin Urbanc, Olivia Allen, Lilly Lynch, Matthew Blackford and Belle Hardy. These talented singers joined University students from across Iowa, Illinois and Missouri to compete in classical, musical theatre and commercial music divisions.

Special congratulations go to Evalyn Mateski and Robin Urbanc, who advanced to the semifinal round of competition.

The School of Music is incredibly proud of its students' performances and professionalism at the regional conference. Their commitment to excellence continues to elevate the reputation of WIU's vocal program.

The NATS is the largest professional association of voice teachers in the world, promoting excellence in singing through education, training and performance opportunities.
