Two Leathernecks Named in Illinois Nurses Association 40 Under 40

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University Nursing instructor Ashley Frederick and 2024 alum Jaden Beckwith were named to the Illinois Nurses Association 40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leader list this fall.

This award, established by the Illinois Nurses Foundation to highlight and celebrate young nurse leaders who are impacting health care and will continue to impact the nursing profession in the future.

"We are so proud to celebrate Dr. Frederick and alumna Jaden Beckwith on being named among the Illinois Nurses Association's 40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leaders," WIU Director of Nursing Patricia Eathington said. "This recognition is a wonderful reflection of their talent, dedication and compassion for the nursing profession."

Frederick, a 2011 WIU alum, and Beckwith's recognition highlights both their work in the industry and the program at WIU.

"To see both a member of our faculty and a recent graduate honored in this way truly speaks to the spirit of excellence we value at the WIU School of Nursing," Eathington said. "We couldn't be more excited to cheer them on in this well-deserved achievement."
