Leathernecks Ready to "Bring it On" at Homecoming 2025

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University is ready to welcome back all current, future and former Leathernecks for Homecoming 2025 with the theme, "Bring it On," from Sunday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, Oct. 19.

Many exciting activities will take place on campus and around Macomb during Homecoming Week, highlighted by the annual Paint the Paws event and the inauguration of WIU's 13th President Kristi Mindrup. There will also be ample opportunities to see the Leathernecks in action with women's and men's soccer, volleyball and the football team all hosting competitions throughout the week.

Sunday, Oct. 12


  • Women's Soccer vs. Lindenwood - 2 p.m., Brophy Field

Monday, Oct. 13


  • Clean the Campus Competition - 4:30-5:30 p.m., Thompson Hall

Tuesday, Oct. 14


  • Paint the Paws - 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Q Lot, outside Western Hall

  • Chalk the Campus - 2-4 p.m., Campus Mall

  • Volleyball vs. Eastern Illinois - 6 p.m., Western Hall

Wednesday, Oct. 15


  • Paint the Town - 3-5 p.m., Macomb City Square

  • Big Pink Volleyball - 6-8 p.m., Student Rec Center

Thursday, Oct. 16


  • President Mindrup's Inauguration - 1:30 p.m., COFAC Recital Hall
