Wind Ensemble Concert Oct. 4

MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University School of Music will present a Wind Ensemble Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.
The Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Mike Fansler, WIU director of Bands, will perform works by Giannini, Albéniz and Maslanka. The ensemble will also premiere a composition by David Stanhope, under the direction of guest graduate Conductor Chris Jenkins, with members of the WIU Choirs.
The program will include:
Symphony No. 3 for Band (1958/1961) - Vittorio Giannini (1903-1966)
1. Allegro energico
2. Adagio
3. Allegretto
4. Allegro con brio
Fěte-Dieu à Séville (1909/1968) - Isaac Albéniz (1860-1909)/trans. Lucien Cailliet (1891-1985)
Skye Boat Song (1900/2022) - David Stanhope (1952b)
