WIU Board of Trustees Action
September 26, 2025

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University Board of Trustees met Sept. 26 at the WIU-Macomb campus for the regularly scheduled quarterly meeting. At the meeting, the Board approved the University's funding recommendation for Fiscal Year 2027 (FY ‘27), as well as capital spending requests and priorities. The budget recommendations are a request of the Illinois General Assembly which would need to be appropriated by the legislature in the State of Illinois FY ‘27 budget.
In additional action, the WIU Board of Trustees approved a contract with the Moline-Coal Valley School District to rent Building A and Building B on the WIU-Quad Cities campus. As specified in the lease agreement, the school district will use the space for 15 months while the Lincoln-Irvin school undergoes renovations.

The next Board meeting will occur Oct. 17 at the annual board retreat. The meeting will take place on the Macomb campus in the University Union Capital Room.
