Macomb Police, NAACP Holding World Café at WIU

MACOMB, IL - - The Macomb Police Department, and the state and local branches of the NAACP, will be hosting a World Café from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9 in the Western Illinois University University Union's Lamoine Room.

The event is a natural progression after signing and reaffirming the 10 Shared Principles. These stand as a commitment to treat all with dignity and respect while rejecting all forms of discrimination. The World Café is an interactive experience with community leaders, WIU students, members of the community and anyone that has an interest in the 10 Shared Principles. The event will cover the principles' creation, application today by police and the community and healthy, respectful conversation.
