Traditional Paint the Paws Event to be Held Oct. 14

MACOMB, IL - - Homecoming week is quickly approaching and Western Illinois University will be kickstarting the festivities with the annual Paint the Paws event, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14 in front of Western Hall.

Students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends are invited to participate in this tradition where the entire WIU community repaints more than 200 Leatherneck paws along University Drive and Western Avenue. The paws will help welcome back alumni as they come back to campus where their Leatherneck journey began.

Hotdogs and chips, as well as all painting supplies, will be provided for participants.

Student groups, campus faculty, staff and alumni interested in participating should register online at go.wiu.edu/3KiWz7q.
