July 15, 2025

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University has named Jessica Harriger-Lin as the new interim associate dean of the College of Business and Technology (CBT), effective June 30, 2025.
"As an alumnus of WIU, it has always been my honor to continue to work for my alma mater and serve the next generation of Leathernecks," Harriger-Lin said. "I'm looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities to contribute as associate dean and continue to work toward the goal of providing our students with a high-quality education and opportunities for economic and social mobility."
Lin, professor of Economics, joined WIU in 2009 and most recently served five years as the director of the School of Accounting and Business Administration, where she oversaw operations of one of the largest and most diverse schools at the University that housed nine undergraduate majors, four graduate degrees and served the needs of over 900 students.
During her time here at WIU, Lin has significantly advanced professional connections and experiential opportunities for students through her leadership in building alliances with advisory boards, donors and industry partners, as well as coordinating large-scale student engagement events for students and alumni.
She also has significant leadership experience with business and supplemental accounting accreditation organizations, such as AACSB, as well as efficient data collection, data management and analysis, which will be highly beneficial to supporting broader accreditation efforts across the college and streamlining data-driven processes.
"Jessica brings a strong record of leadership, strategic insight and dedication to student and faculty success," Tara Feld, interim dean of the CBT, said. "Her experience with accreditation, curriculum development and industry engagement will be a tremendous asset to the leadership team as we continue to advance the mission of the College and enhance our impact across the University and region."
