WIU School of Music Presents April 28-May 3 Performances

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University School of Music presents a series of performances from Monday, April 28, through Saturday, May 3 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.
The schedule of events includes:
Monday, April 28, 7:30 p.m. - WIU Horn Studio Recital
This recital will feature students of Professor Jena Gardner.
Tuesday, April 29, 3:30 p.m. - WIU Opera Workshop Performance
This performance will be directed by Sunmin Cha at Browne Hall, room 130.
Tuesday, April 29, 7:30 p.m. - American Music Recital
This recital is presented by the Kappa Psi Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity.
Wednesday, April 30, 7:30 p.m. - Violin Studio Recital
This recital will feature students of Professor Julieta Mihai.
Thursday, May 1, 7:30 p.m. - WIU Student Chamber Music Gala
Friday, May 2, 10 a.m. - School of Music New Student Celebration Faculty Performance
*Friday, May 2, 7:30 p.m. - WIU Symphony Orchestra Concert
This concert will feature Professor and Director of Music Education Rich Cangro, conductor with guest soloist Eric Ginsberg, clarinet.
Saturday, May 3 p.m. - WIU Steel Band 40th Anniversary Concert
This concert will feature Director of Percussion Studies Rick Kurasz, director with special guest of honor Dr. Richard Cheadle and Alumni.
Saturday, May 5:30 p.m. - Senior Recital
This recital will feature junior student Joao Rocha, viola.
Saturday, May 7:30 p.m. - WIU Trumpet Studio Recital
This recital will feature students of Professor Nicole Gillotti.
All performances are free and open for general seating.
