Student Memorial Tree Planting Ceremony Set for April 24

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – The Western Illinois University Inter-Hall Council (IHC) will host the annual Student Memorial Tree Planting Ceremony at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in the tree grove on the west side of Sherman Hall. The ceremony will be followed by a brief reception in the Corbin/Olson E-Classroom.
A tree is planted and dedicated in honor of the students who have been lost. In addition to the students' families, IHC is extending an invitation to students, faculty and staff to honor their loved ones.
This year, the ceremony will honor Steven Wright, who passed away April 20, and Nicolas "Nico" Lamb, who passed away Feb. 17.
