WIU Partners with Kaplan to Offer Free Test Prep to Students

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - Western Illinois University is the first to launch a new partnership with Prepare for Illinois' Future Powered by Kaplan's All Access License™ to provide students with free access to industry-leading test preparation products for graduate admissions exams, licensure exams, credentialing exams and professional development courses.
The state of Illinois and the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) have partnered with Kaplan, a global educational services provider, to offer free academic resources to students institutions across the state, providing WIU students with free access to more than 40 courses, equipping them to take exams such as the GRE®, GMAT®, MCAT®, LSAT® and many more.
"We know many of our students are planning for the next steps in their academic and professional journeys, whether it's graduate school, professional licensure, a certification or developing new skills to advance their careers. Our partnership with Kaplan opens doors for students as they prepare for these next steps," Justin Schuch, interim vice president for student success, said. "The resources offered by Kaplan will be a valuable tool for our students and complement the stellar on-campus support our faculty and staff offer."
This program will expand access to test preparation and provide WIU students with free access to test preparation resources, reducing financial barriers and increasing equitable opportunities for academic and professional success; equip students with the tools needed to excel in licensure and standardized exams; improve student outcomes by increasing exam pass rates, matriculation into graduate programs and overall academic performance by integrating comprehensive test preparation into the student experience; and close equity gaps by ensuring underrepresented and disadvantaged students have access to high-quality preparation resources.
