MACOMB, IL - - Beginning Fall 2025, the use of Lincoln and Washington Halls will be temporarily paused.

During this paused period, the University will assess several areas within the complex, including the condition of utility systems, student rooms, furniture, etc., and, as the budget allows, focus attention on the repairs needed throughout both buildings.

"By utilizing Thompson, Corbin, Olson and Grote Halls more efficiently, the student experience will be enhanced, thus creating a better community experience, and it will allow our team to assess needed enhancements of the paused halls. We look forward to utilizing Lincoln and Washington Halls in the future, as we know both halls have offered a great residential living experience," said Bridget McCormick, director of University Housing and Dining Services (UHDS).

Incoming students who have already completed their housing agreement and preference questions and requested Lincoln or Washington Hall for next semester can update their housing preferences through their STARS account under the Lifestyle Preference tab. Changes can be made until mid-July. Students will be assigned to their second or third housing options if they do not make these updates.

Living Learning Communities (LLCs) currently located in Lincoln and Washington Halls will be relocated to Thompson and Corbin Halls.
