Halloween Week Filled with Events

MACOMB, IL - - There will be plenty of tricks and treats around the Western Illinois University campus for students to enjoy their Halloween week.

The events kick off from 7-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25-26, with the Delta Upsilon Fraternity Haunted Trail, held at 620 W. Elting St.

From 12-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, Delta Tau Delta Fraternity will host its annual Big Wheel event.

From 5-9 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27, WIU Horn Field Campus will hold its Haunted Trail event with the family-friendly trail open from 5-6:30 p.m. and the "scary" trail open from 7-9 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person.

The Multicultural Center will host a mixer from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30, featuring a costume contest, caramel apple decorating and pumpkin smashing.

Students can join the University Union Board & the Office of Student Engagement from 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30, for Halloween Bingo, where there will be free prizes, a costume contest and popcorn.

At 6:30 p.m. on Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. will screen "Us" in the Sandburg Theatre.

The week will conclude 7-10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, when the Multicultural Center hosts Dia de los Muertos.
