WIU Alumnus Bill Trotter Publishes Two books

MACOMB, IL - -Western Illinois University's School of Agriculture Alumnus Bill Trotter has released the book "Cowboy in the Jungle: Vol. I and Vol. II" based on family and helping others worldwide.

Both Vol. I and Vol. II of Trotter's Books were published by Xlibris Us Publishing, United States. Vol. I was released in December 2022 and Vol. II in July 2023. These books are available in multiple locations, including locally at New Copperfield's Book Service, on Macomb Square.

Trotter's books are agricultural historical fiction based on a cowboy named Hank Stuart who leaves his family ranch to fulfill his purpose to find out how the world will be able to feed itself over the next 30 to 40 years. This book takes place from 1978 to 1980 as Stuart goes to school at Arizona State University to further his goal. His path leads him to decide between his purpose as it relates to his family's future and the family ranch and the agricultural dilemma confronting the world and the process of feeding people of the world.

"This book is full of human emotion. The main character finds that survival is never simple and that you do what you need to for the sake of your family." Trotter said. "Much of this book is based on my life events and trials with some fiction."
