Richard Vick Obituary

MACOMB, IL – A musical celebration of life for Western Illinois University Professor Emeritus Richard Vick, of Macomb, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28 at the Wesley Community Center. Cremation has been accorded.
Vick passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19 in Macomb.
He was hired to teach English at WIU in September 1965, and retired in December 1996. After retirement, he taught on an adjunct basis. Vick was also very active in the Macomb community, serving on the Macomb City Council and the Macomb Public Library Board.
Vick is survived by his wife, Myrtle; children, Christopher, Susan and Betsy; six grandchildren and one brother.
