Undergraduate Courses

Psy 250 Human Social Behavior
An introduction to the influences of social factors on behavior. Topics include helping, aggression, interpersonal attraction, attitudes, prejudice, and behavior in groups. Prerequisite: Psy100 or permission of instructor.

Psy 323 Research in Psychology II: Research Methods
An introduction to the use of scientific methods in the study of behavior. Techniques in designing, conducting, and reporting psychological research are covered. Writing in the Discipline course. Prerequisites: Psy223 and Eng280.

Psy 452G Advanced Social Psychology
A systematic and critical treatment of current topics in the field of social psychology, with emphasis on problems in conducting social psychological research. Prerequisite: Psy323 or permission of instructor.

Psy490 Seminar in the Psychology of Divorce
New course offering for Fall 2008

Graduate Courses

Psy 500 Techniques in Research and Program Evaluation
A course in research methodology. Topics include evaluation of laboratory, field, and clinical research. Each student must write a research proposal and several critiques. Prerequisite: Graduate standing or permission of instructor.

Psy 600 Seminar in Evolutionary Psychology
A graduate seminar that focuses on biological and evolutionary explanations for human behavior. Prerequisite: Graduate standing or permission of instructor.
