Family |
|
I've been married to my wonderful husband,
John Smith, for seven years. |
|
This is my mom (Leona) and dad (Jerry).
They live in Reno, Nevada. |
|
This is my sister, Kathy, and her partner,
Joe. They live in Reno and have two daughters, Lauren
and Olivia. |
|
This is my sister, Kara. She lives in
Reno, too.. |
|
We have a golden retriever named Lily. She loves to
go for walks and play in the snow. |
|
And we have a black cat named Zach who thinks he is
a dog. As you can see, he is very helpful in home-improvement
projects. |
|
My fantasy baseball team is called The Mighty Fireflies.
I've played in a fantasy league for about five years
now. |
|
As
a Kid |
I grew up in a small town
(Dell Rapids)
near Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I graduated from high
school in Ely, Nevada. |
Places
I've Lived |
South Dakota, North Dakota,
Nevada, Utah, California, Tennessee, Illinois. |
Jobs
I've Had |
My first part-time job in
high school was as a pharmacy clerk. I worked as a legal
assistant for a family law attorney for 10 years. I
have also raised Guide Dog puppies. For a couple of
years I had my own business doing computer consulting. |
My
Most Embarrassing Moment |
I was in a store talking
to someone about one of my high school teachers . .
. and he happened to be standing around the corner and
heard everything I said. |
Things
I Do When I'm Not at School |
- In the summer I run in 5k races and compete in
sprint triathlons! You can usually find me running
or biking around town or swimming at the Y.
- I recently started knitting and am looking forward
to learning fun patterns.
- John and I enjoy dancing and go to dance lessons
every week! It is so fun!
- I like to play racquetball but don't get to play
as much as I'd like these days.
- I also like hiking, camping, star gazing, reading,
and creating web pages.
- I'm a Weather Channel junkie and often have it
on for hours.
- I like to travel whenever I get the chance. My
favorite destinations: San Francisco, San Diego,
New Orleans, deserted Caribbean islands, isolated
mountain cabins. I visited Eastern Europe a few
years ago and fell in love with Poland. I
can't wait to go back!
