Welcome!

I've been a professor in the Psychology Department at Western Illinois University since 1997. I chose this career because it was the next best thing to being a professional student. I enjoy working with both undergraduate and graduate students -- they keep my job challenging and cognitively stimluating. My teaching interests are in social psychology, experimental psychology, statistics, and introductory psychology. My research interests include evolutionary social psychology, the need to belong and interpersonal rejection.

Check out the links on the left for more information about my research, teaching, and other astonishing factoids. Thanks for visiting!
