On April 3 at 11:01 a.m., non-student, Brian Nielsen, 61, of 502 Peirce Street, was arrested during a traffic stop for operating an uninsured vehicle, having no valid registration, no certification of title and possession of a controlled substance. At 1:11 p.m. he was transported to McDonough County Jail where he was lodged pending bond.

On April 4 at 12:20 p.m., OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Thompson Hall. No fire or injuries were reported.

On April 4 at 4:41 p.m., a WIU student reported someone struck his vehicle in the Currens parking lot. Damage was estimated at $500 and the incident is under investigation.
