On Jan. 18 at 10:09 a.m. OPS responded to a fire alarm in Sherman Hall. Macomb Fire Department was canceled as this was a false alarm when the east side heat detectors became overheated and set the alarms off. No smoke or fire were found and no injuries were reported.

On Jan. 18 at 8:39 p.m. Amon Ball, 19, of 627 Corbin Hall, was arrested in the 900 block of Western Avenue on a McDonough County warrant for violation of court order. He was transported to McDonough County Jail at 8:56 p.m. where he was lodged pending bond.
