What is SAA?

The Student Alumni Association [SAA] is a student organization at Western Illinois University that serves to connect current and former students through on-campus programming, fundraising events, leadership opportunities, networking opportunities and more!


Why Join SAA?

Alumni Breakfast

Stop by anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. at the Alumni House for complimentary coffee, doughnuts and a great time with our special guests and other fellow alumni, friends and students of Western Illinois University. Don’t forget to wear your Purple and Gold!!

This event is open to WIU students, alumni and friends.

Survival SAAcks
Orders due TBA.

Delivery the week before Finals.

During finals, your student has to deal with stress and probably other obligations for a variety of activities. Send a gift to brighten his or her day. Survival SAAcks are care packages carefully prepared and delivered by Our Campus Market and are sponsored by the Student Alumni Association of Western Illinois University! Paint the Paws


Students, alumni, faculty and staff are invited to take part in Western Illinois University's annual Homecoming kick-off tradition, Paint the Paws.

Hosted by the Alumni Association, the yearly Paint the Paws event involves the painting of more than 200 paws along University Drive and Western Avenue.

Student groups, as well as campus faculty, staff and alumni, interested in participating should contact the Alumni Association at Pre-registration is not required; all are invited to participate.
