Professional Development

Under the provisions of the teacher re-certification act that begins this year, a teacher must develop and follow a professional development plan. Activities that may be completed include taking courses, participating in workshops, being involved in conferences, and mentoring students in research projects. These opportunities exist at the local, state, and national level and may require a weekend, or as long as a year.
