WIU Physics Department

Eisenhower Workshop

The Eisenhower workshop is typically held during the middle of June and consists of a five full days of technology, teaching tips, laboratory activities, mentoring, discussions, and fun with physics. Topics are presented in a way that is beneficial to the novice and experienced teacher alike. Discussions are not limited to content knowledge however; topics such as learning styles and methods of instruction are included as well.

Other benefits include a stipend upon completion of the workshop. 2 S.H. of graduate credit are also available (you are responsible for tuition). Credit towards your Certificate Renewal Plan (subject to your LPDC's approval), participation in the Secondary Physics Instrumentation Laboratory, and the chance to develop a network of contacts with fellow physics teachers throughout the area are also major benefits.

For more information about registration and dates, contact Dr. Harold Hart at the WIU Physics Department.
