Welcome to the WIU Dance Clinic & Mini UDT
Does your child want to get out of the house, spend time with friends, and MOVE?
The WIU Dance Clinic & Mini UDT program offer a wonderful dance experience for children grades 1-12 in the communities around Western Illinois University. The biannual Dance Clinic offers a one-day dance experience, while the Mini UDT program offers multiple experiences with a UDT member and a performance experience. DANCE CLINIC
What is Dance Clinic?
The UDT Dance Clinic is a one-day experience where children will spend the morning with the dancers from the University Dance Theatre at Western Illinois University. They will learn a dance routine with children of their age group and perform it at the end of the event. Children will recieive a t-shirt from the event (guaranteed before a specific date) to wear for the event.
Dance Clinic Presents WIU's University Dance Theatre (UDT) presents Dancin' Around the World, a dance clinic for children in Macomb and surrounding school districts. The dance clinic will provide children grades 1-12 the opportunity to learn a dance taught and choreographed by members of UDT. The children's clinic will culminate with each age group performing on stage, in our dance studio, with lights and music! Each child attending the clinic will receive a FREE official UDT clinic t-shirt, while they last.
- The clinic is $20 per child.
- Pre-registrationis due by September 16th 2019 (in order to guarantee a t-shirt).
- You may still register your child after the pre-registration date or the morning of clinic, but will not be guaranteed a t-shirt.
- Early arrival and check-in is welcome and encouraged!

Mini/Jr UDT
What is Mini UDT?
Mini UDT is a program for students in grades 1-5 to be able to pair up with a
Western Illinois University Dance Theatre member for the season! They will be able to participate in
events with their mentor throughout the season and gain many valuable experiences. They will also have
the opportunity to learn and perform a dance with all of the other students and mentors and perform in the
UDT Emerging Choreographer Showcase performance in Hainline Theatre on December 7th, 2019.
What is Jr UDT? Jr UDT is a program for students in grades 6-12 to pair up with a Western Illinois University Dance Theatre member for the season! This is the next step for young dancers. They will have the opportunity to create their own dance as a group with the help of UDT Members, and will perform in the UDT Emerging Choreographer Showcase performance in Hainline Theatre on December 7th, 2019.
Other Information Mini/Jr UDT registration forms are due October 1st 2019 The cost of Mini/Jr UDT is $30 which includes 3-4 rehearsals and activities relating with your mentor. All other information can be found on our website at http://www.wiu.edu/cofac/theatre/dance_clinic.php
