Research Interests
Research: My main areas of interest are: algebraic topology and its applications, graph theory, geometric topology, and applied statistics & decision analytics.
Research with undergraduate students: I am also interested in doing research with undergraduate students at the junior or senior level to introduce them to interesting and advanced topics related to topology, algebra, geometry, algebraic topology and its applications, statistics, graph theory, data analysis, computer simulations, dynamical systems, mathematical modeling, computational methods of linear algebra, and graph theory.
Research with graduate students: I am interested in doing research with graduate students, assisting them to trust themselves and make a transition to become outstanding research students, and eventually publish in reputable scientific journals and magazines. Depending on the mathematical style and subject preferred by the student, topics of research can include topology, algebra, homological algebra, categorical theory, geometry, algebraic topology and its applications, geometry and physics, representation theory (Lie groups or Lie algebras), algebraic geometry, statistics, graph theory, data analysis, computer simulations, dynamical systems, mathematical modeling, computational methods of linear algera, and graph theory.
