Enterprise Technology Engineer and WIU Software Engineering Instructor Russell Glaue

Are you preparing for an internship this summer, or your first job after you graduate?

If you are still unclear about your career direction in the technology-focused industries, writing your cover letter and resume (a must for your job application), and what you should do during an interview, come to this Career Skills Talk on Wednesday March 2, 3:00pm in Stipes 304. We will discuss these things and there will be opportunity to get help with your cover letter and resume after this session - with special focus on your technology skills and career. Just in time for WIU’s Tuesday March 8th 2022 All Majors Career and Internship Fair .

We will also be discussing why you may not get an interview, or why you may not get a job offer after your interview. What do you do after this? Or you may get the job offer, how do you negotiate your first salary? We will discuss that with an additional special mini-video-segment from “Shark Tank” investor Barbara Corcoran.

In partnership with the WIU School of Computer Sciences, Russell Glaue will be presenting this session to help you get ready. Russell is an Enterprise Technology Engineer with Center for the Application of Information Technologies here at WIU. He has reviewed several hundreds of resumes and interviewed candidates for technology positions, and non-technology leadership positions.
