Directions for QuizStar
QuizStar is a place that has
online quizzes (http://quizstar.4teachers.org/).
I have written a few. This is new for me, but I think it is a good
opportunity. I have found QuizStar to be pretty easy to use for students and
teachers.
Students:
- To sign up (register), click the student link then click
the Sign Up Arrow. You'll create a username and password
(you do this once). Then log in.
- After you have logged in, you have to register for a class (you
do this once).
To do this click the orange Search tab.
Search for my class title of Middle
School Math Practice (click "Exact Match"). Check the box and then
click register.
- Then you can take the quizzes.
Teachers:
- To sign up (register), click the instructor link then click sign up now.
- The system is pretty self-explanatory. You create quizzes and you create
courses. Then you assign quizzes to your courses. Courses can be a public
class,
which means anyone can register for them, or a private class,
which means you put in the class list.
Please e-mail me or call me if you
have trouble using the system or my quizzes, or just to give me feedback on QuizStar.
QuizStar is part of 4teachers.org, which is part of ALEC (Advanced Learning
Technologies in Education Consortia) at the University of Kansas.
