Alumni Association Seeks Alumni Award Nominations

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - The Western Illinois University Alumni Association is currently accepting nominations for the 2026 Young Alumni Excellence and Distinguished Alumni Award. Nominations will be accepted until Monday, Dec. 15.

The Young Alumni Excellence Award is presented to alumni who are under the age of 35 and who have made outstanding contributions in one or more of the following ways: exceptional accomplishment in chosen field; exceptional service in local, state or national affairs; or exceptional service in support of the advancement and continued excellence of WIU.

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor bestowed on an alumnus/alumna by the WIU Alumni Association. The award recognizes alumni who have reached the pinnacle of their career and have brought credit to themselves and WIU through distinguished accomplishments in their business or professional life; community affairs at local, state or national levels; and support of the advancement and continued success of the university.

The Young Alumni and Distinguished Alumni Award will be presented to recipients at the Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremonies. The Distinguished Alumni Award recipients will serve as commencement speakers.
