Book club selects Beloved by Toni Morrison

Members of the University Libraries' Book Club met on September 30th and selected the Pulitzer-Prize winning novel, Beloved by Toni Morrison for the fall reading. The book follows the story of Sethe, an escaped slave and the lives of those around her. It is a compelling read that is thought provoking and should lead to interesting discussion. Book Club participants can meet to discuss the reading on either Thursday, October 28th at 7:00 p.m. or Friday, October 29th at 9:00 a.m. in the Mary Lou Kent Room on the 6th Floor of the Leslie F. Malpass Library. Two meeting times were scheduled to accommodate as many book club members as possible.
