Constitution Day September 17th

To celebrate this years annual Constitution Day as set forth by the United States Government, the Government and Legal Information Unit has set up a poster-sized replica of the U.S. Constitution on the fourth floor. The display also contains a print of the famous painting by Louis S. Glanzman, depicting the Constitutional Convention signing the U.S. Constitution at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. Some examples of Constitution titles are also shown in a glass display case.

Additionally, the Womens Center has included a poster display which consists of three documents: the text of the 13th, 18th and 19th amendments, the text of the proposed Equal Rights Amendment and 16 photographs of individuals and events pertaining to women's involvement in the grass roots movement to secure those amendments.
