Performer, organizer, and educator Julianna Eidle (she/her) is the Instructor of Flute at Western Illinois University. In her role at WIU, Eidle performs with the Camerata Woodwind Quintet and Camerata Nova Contemporary Woodwind Quintet, directs the WIU Flute Studio, and teaches courses in musicianship. She previously taught at the University of Cincinnati and has presented classes on flute, piccolo, and chamber music throughout the US. Eidle teaches the foundations of healthy playing, encouraging each student to express their unique voice. With interests in artistic wholeness, Eidle is a certified Deep Listening Facilitator and Yoga Teacher.

Eidle is a passionate collaborator and advocate for new music. She performs with Camerata Nova and the Contemporary Art Music Project and is Co-Director of New Downbeat, a Cincinnati chamber ensemble rooted in intersectional feminism. Eidle has premiered over 50 works for solo flute and ensemble and performed at the BMI Composer Awards, Oh My Ears New Music Festival, WIU New Music Festival, SHE: Festival of Women in Music, Society of Composers, Inc. Student National Conference, and the Midwest Composers Symposium. She holds the Second Flute/Piccolo chair with Opera in the Ozarks (Eureka Springs, Arkansas) and performs with orchestras throughout the Midwest, including the Quincy, Kentucky, and Springfield Symphony Orchestras.

Eidle is a graduate of Indiana University (BM and Performer Diploma) and the University of Cincinnati (MM,) where she is a DMA candidate. Her primary teachers include Demarre McGill, Amy Taylor, Thomas Robertello, Kathryn Lukas, and Christina Smith.
