WIU Film Minor Adam Colgan Screens His Documentary Short Film (Fall 2016)

On Tuesday, November 29, 2016, WIU Film Club and the Interdisciplinary Film Minor hosted the screening of the documentary short film Rx: Pot. The Journey for Pain Relief by Adam Colgan. Adam is a sophomore at WIU from Canton, IL and is a Film Minor and Network Technologies Major with an emphasis in Cyber Security. This documentary started as a project in an independent study Adam completed with Associate Professor of Film Dr. Roberta Di Carmine. The documentary film follows Adam as he applies for a medical marijuana card to get relief from chronic pain. There was a discussion with Adam, the filmmaker, following the screening. As you can see there was quite a crowd and wonderful responses from our students and faculty. Also, Rich Egger from the radio was present and will write a piece on Adam’s documentary!
