  • New Release: The creative writing faculty at Western Illinois University will read from their current work at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 31 in Morgan Hall 101B on campus. Tama Baldwin will read from new creative nonfiction, John Mann will read from his magnum opus, “The Mr. Mann Poems,” and David Stevenson will read from a novel in progress. This event is open free to the public.
  • News Release: Western Illinois University’s Creative Writers Society (CWS) named the CWS Service Award and Writer’s Award recipients at the annual honors ceremony April 22.
  • News Release: The Creative Writers Society at Western Illinois University will host William J. Maxwell, who will present a paper on the poetry of Claude McKay from 3-4 p.m. Wednesday, April 28 in University Union Cardinal/Oak Room. Maxwell will also read from his new book, “Complete Poems, Claude McKay” and sign books at the Sullivan-Taylor Coffee House in Macomb at 5:30 April 28.
