Below is the Initial Menu Setup for PowerPoint 2002. Let's take a quick tour of it.
 

 
This one area where you can view, and rearrange, your presentation, as you make it. There are two views, "slides," which is the default, and "Outline."
 

 

This the workspace, the area where individual slides are worked on.
 

 

 In this area you can select different format options for your slides.
 

 
 Let's look at a number of format options. Click on "Blank Presentation." These are options for laying out your slides. Click on a few and you'll see the Workspace change. You can select one option for use in all your slides. Alternately, you may change the layout from slide to slide.
 

 
The rest of the class will use a PowerPoint presentation. To get it click here. Select Save and save to My Documents. Then, we will open the presentation using PowerPoint.
