I’d like to voice my concern over the planned invasion of Iraq:
I have no doubts as to the success of an invasion. However, are investigating alternatives to invasion? Is the current military embargo so much a failure and is Hussen so much a danger that invasion is the only viable response? Are we prepared to repair the damage and secure the health and well being of the Iraqi people after the invasion? Are we prepared to rule Iraq with all the expense and trouble and, probably, loss of life that will entail until it’s stable enough to rule itself?
