ERIC Author Search using OVID

1. Go to ERIC / Ovid.
2. Next, click on Search Fields.
3. 

Type in author's name: last name, first name. Click on Display Index(es).

4. Choose your author(s). If you are not certain which James Carmichael to choose, choose them all. Click on Perform Search.

5. Click on Display to see your results.

Note that the first two searches using "carmichael james" returned no records. This is why  searching the Index is more efficient. If you click on the blue display button above (it's active), you can see a list of the records. A quick glance will tell you that it would be easy enough to separate the two James Carmichaels. This may not always be the case, of course.
