If you're new to downloading, you might want to ummmm....download a program that will help manage your downloading, make it simpler, Netscape SmartDownload.  What SmartDownload does is manage the process, i.e. get the program in its binary form onto your hard drive and then launch the install sequence.

You should be aware that SmartDownload has an annoying side. It's free, right? It's free to you and me, but it does send advertisements your way as you download. Solution: Close windows or ignore.

 You certainly don't need SmartDownload, but it smoothes the path.
