Definition: Strategic Information Systems (SIS)

the corporate strategy of an organization, often leading to innovation in the
way the organization conducts its business, the creation of new business

technology. Strategic information systems represent a development in
organizational use of information systems, following in the wake of MISs, EISs,
and decision support systems.
