Hot Potatoes is a great program (actually a set of 6 programs) for making online quizzes. It is easy to use, full featured, and low-cost. It is, by far, the best low-cost online quiz making software I have ever seen. In the Training Area I have videos on how to use Hot Potatoes.
"The Hot Potatoes suite includes six applications, enabling you to create interactive multiple-choice, short-answer, jumbled-sentence, crossword, matching/ordering and gap-fill exercises for the World Wide Web. Hot Potatoes is not freeware, but it is free of charge for those working for publicly-funded non-profit-making educational institutions, who make their pages available on the web. Other users must pay for a licence." See the web site: http://hotpot.uvic.ca/
There is an area hotpotatoes.net where instructors can post quizzes for their students.
Hot Potatoes was created by the Research and Development team at the University of Victoria Humanities Computing and Media Centre.Return to my Hot Potatoes Front Page
