George Mangalaraj holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from the Coimbatore Institute of Technology, India, Master's in Information Systems from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Texas at Arlington. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University, India.
He has nearly five years of industry experience. He has worked in the fertilizer/petro-chemical industry in various areas such as maintenance, EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) projects. His industry experience also includes experience in the development of client-server based project information systems.
His research interests are in software application development and adoption of innovations areas. He has published in MIS Quarterly, Communications of the ACM, European Journal of Information Systems, IEEE Transactions of Professional Communication, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Journal of Information Privacy & Security and various conference proceedings such as the America’s Conference on Information Systems, the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, and the Decision Sciences Institute. He has also published pedagogical articles in Journal of Information Systems Education and Journal of Accounting Education.
