My Rod and My Reel, They Comfort Me

On any given day, ask me what I would rather be doing. If I'm not already fishing, you could almost bet that fishing would be my answer. Of course, there are many things that take precedence over fishing, but it has to be one of my top three favorite leisure activities. I have often said that if I could make a living at it, I would fish professionally. I have actually made back the cost of my archery equipment with the money I have won in bowfishing tournaments.

I enjoy many types of fishing. I fish with baitcasting and spinning equipment, flyrod, and bow (although I think that flinging a fiberglass arrow at a carp is difficult to justify as "fishing"). I have a 16 ft. aluminum boat with casting/shooting decks fore and aft. Nothing fancy, but it serves my purposes quite well. If you've never held a flyrod or shot at a carp, I would be happy to give you an introduction.
