ENG 180: College Composition I

Bradley Dilger, Spring 2010
STAR# 46517, Section 39
T Th, 2:00-3:15p, Simpkins Hall 319

Learn methods, skills, and concepts related to effective academic writing. We'll work with common texts, focusing on social networks, but all students will have the opportunity to tailor their work to match long-term academic, career, and other interests. Quality over quantity, method over minutae.

Core assignments include two essays which involve research and substantial revision, participation in class discussions, and a comprehensive final examination.

The course will be similar to those I've taught in the past. See my Spring 2008 syllabus to learn what to expect, and contact me if you have questions.
