Welcome to ENG 480, a course which investigates the theory and practice of working with computers, writing, and other new media. How does the “and” in “computers and writing” function? This course will investigate the ongoing shift from a culture in which writing is the most important form of discourse, to one in which writing is supplemented with the technologies of networked computing. News11/03: The updated schedule has been posted. The web version is identical to that I gave out in class; I just forgot to post it last week. 10/20: Please complete this class evaluation form in the next day or so. 10/02: The optional rewrite assignment for Project One has been posted. 9/20: I have posted the final project two assignment online and in printable (Adobe PDF) format. Please read this final version before class Monday (9/22) and be ready to discuss it and/or ask questions. 9/10: A group work section has been added. 9/9: I have added a notes section to this site and will continue to add resources to it. 8/18: All updates to the syllabus, and other news and important information, will be posted here. |
