• Companion Web site for Paul Anderson’s Technical Communication: A Reader-Centered Approach. While some of this site is underdeveloped, there’s a lot of nice content here. At the least, it will save you some typing now and then.

Books on reserve at the Malpass Library

• Robin Williams’s design books—mentioned in Chapter 12 of the Anderson book. To get the full story, check out the following books, which are simply top-notch:
  • Non-designer‘s design book : design and typographic principles for the visual novice (1995). Contains the nifty CRAP principles, plus many examples which explain them well.
  • Robin Williams Web design workshop (with John Tollett and David Rohr, 2002). A nifty problem/solution oriented book which I seriously considered assigning for this class. If you have specific problems to solve, see if Williams has tackled them before you reinvent the wheel.
