Questions for Dr. Boocker

Here's a list of questions based on our discussion on 10/8 and individual work on 10/10.

  1. Corey is working on a question about audience. I think this should be one of the first questions asked.

    1. We think our target audience is students (grad and undergrad), prospective students, and faculty. Are there any other groups to consider?
    2. Do you think we should pay more attention to prospective students when redesigning the site?
    3. How would you rank the importance of visitors to the site [then list the groups identified.]
    4. Can we view the guestbook data in order to better understand the audience?
  2. Rachel is working on questions about the faculty and staff page.

  3. Nate is working on questions related to automation: the use of forms to enter data, and databases to display them. (This is obviously connected to Rachel's question -- maybe as a follow up.)

  4. Alex is working on questions about the front page content.

  5. What is the structure of the department? How are English majors, journalism, creative writing, and professional minors split up? How should that structure be reflected on the Web site? (This is from our Wednesday discussion. Sheena and Jenny: maybe you can ask this question and follow up -- you already know a good deal about this.)

  6. Have you heard of any problems with the site being accessed by people with disabilities? (Karina)

  7. Amy, Whitney and Taylor provided some excellent specific questions about the site content today. (What stays? What goes?) I think these will be good follow-ups to Alex's question.

A few notes
