RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research can be mainly classified as Desktop support and Executive Support. Historically, I have worked in the OIS area, identifying models for functional support of administrative employees. Of late, this work has involved KM support for professional knowledge and process knowledge. Other OIS related areas of interest are intelligent desktop systems, workflow, information retrieval (digital libraries) and information extraction. With regard to Executive support, research interests include qualitative models of executive information, use of data mining for strategic decision making and organizational histories as it pertains to decision making. This is a laundry list:

  1. KM systems for professional knowledge, knowledge codification,
  2. Workflow models, Process knowledge,
  3. Intelligent desktop systems,
  4. Information extraction,
  5. Data mining applications,
  6. Organizational histories.
